About Trading Partner Management (TPM)
Trading Partner Management Module is a new brand module that is resulted from merging both OMM and PRM functionalities. This module enables our customers to manage the process of onboarding their trading partners with a seamless transition to partner management as soon as the trading partners have completed the onboarding process.
There are a lot of useable functionalities in this new module. This article explains what can the user do in the "Partners Overview" page.
Trading Partner Management:
According to the types of the project, TPM landing page shows the list of the partners. See screenshot:
When clicking on one of the partners, we can see the overview of that partner
Description of the overview page:
There are two sections in the overview page:
- The partner’s company and onboarding information section.
- The profiles section
1. Partner’s company and onboarding information section:
In this section, you can see the following view as in the screenshot:
- A short description of the Partner’s Overview
- The “Partner” button to do more actions on this partner (will be described in detail in this document)
- The name of the partner
- The onboarding status of the partner
- Some important onboarding information
- The general information of the partner
- The onboarding information of the partner
The general information includes:
- The address information: address, zip code, city, state, country
- The identifiers of that partner: example: VAT & Chamber of Commerce Numbers
The onboarding information includes all what is shown now on this screenshot:
The general information of the partner cannot be directly changed or modified, while it is possible to change/ update the onboarding information. This will also be explained later in this document.
Functionalities in the “Partner” button:
1. Edit onboarding information: in the edit onboarding information, you can edit the onboarding status & the related information. Note that only the “status” is a mandatory field when needed to edit the onboarding information. All information that can be updated is in the following screenshot:

- Status: the onboarding status of this partner. This status is also linked to the OMM notifications, or what called: onboarding drip campaign. Be careful if you want to change this status that it will cause different email to be sent to the partner’s admin users. This status is mostly changed automatically by the partner’s user(s) actions
- Notes: if you manually changed the status, add notes to indicate the reason or extra description of your action.
- Account Manager: select who will manage this partner.
- Service provider: select the service provider that will provide the service to this partner to achieve the electronic document exchange.
- Expected annual document volume: the value here should be a number. This is to indicate how many document are expected that this partner will send per year.
- Industry: select which industry has this partner
- Revenue: how much is the partner’s revenue
- Number of Employees: of this partner
- Feedback email: set the feedback email related to the electronic documents interchange.
- Additional email: add additional email that related to this partner.
- Phone Number: add the phone number of that additional email.
- Website: of that partner
- Facebook: page of that partner
- Twitter: page of that partner.
2. Request to update company information: this functionality opens the email client to write and send an email to the admin user(s) of that partner if needed to update the partner general information. As stated above, the general information includes:
- The address information: address, zip code, city, state, country
- The identifiers of that partner: example: VAT & Chamber of Commerce Numbers
These general information are critical for the electronic documents (ex: e-invoices) that the partner exchange with the customer.
3. Block Activity: to block the activity of this partner in the project’s portal. The users of the partners will be able to access the project’s portal, but all of them will get there the “reader” role.
4. Disable Partner: to prevent the partner’s users totally of accessing this project’s portal.
5. Send message to administrator: to send a quick message to the admin users of that partner.
6. Set company to Test Status: this functionality here is to set the label of the status to test. This is not a default functionality and should be configured by a consultant.
7. Set company to Production Status: this functionality here is to set the label of the status to production. This is not a default functionality and should be configured by a consultant.
2. Profiles’ Section:
This section is to assign this partner to one or more profiles that this partner is classified to. These profiles are created and managed in the “partners” landing page (see screenshot). In the overview page, the partner can only be assigned to one or more of these profiles.
To assign the partner to a profile, click on the “pen” icon in that profile => select the profile and/or the sub-profile(s) => click on “save” => then you can see the selected profile & sub-profile(s) in the overview.
